ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Have you had to do much pruning on the Corylus 'Red Majestic' to keep it in bounds? Mine has completely outgrown it's alotted spot and is now too large to move. It's a stunning plant-the lamb's ears make a perfect companion.

ReplyDeleteThe tree behind the frog on pedestal is a Harry Lauders walking stick...I think that's a correct spelling..lol.
These trees come in the green or purple variety, obviously mine is the purple.
So far I have only slightly pruned, but it is still quite young..it will need to be moved, eventually.They seem to be slow growers.
Oh I think this must be the most favourite time in the garden for you when your lovely iris are in bloom. Great to see another gardener growing Corylus Red Majestic - mine is about half the size of yours. How many catkins do you get a year? as mine only produced two this year.
